Human Trafficking & Modern Slavery Policy

1. Purpose

Merrick Synergy, LLC (“the Company”) is committed to conducting business responsibly and ethically. We have zero tolerance for human trafficking, forced labor, child labor, or modern slavery in any form.

This policy affirms our commitment to respecting human rights and ensuring that our operations and business relationships are free from exploitation, coercion, or abuse.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All employees, officers, and directors of Merrick Synergy, LLC

  • Contractors, consultants, and temporary workers

  • Vendors, suppliers, partners, and any third parties acting on behalf of the Company

Compliance with this policy is a condition of employment or engagement with Merrick Synergy, LLC.

3. Prohibition of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery

Merrick Synergy, LLC strictly prohibits any involvement in:

  • Human trafficking

  • Forced, bonded, or involuntary labor

  • Child labor or exploitation of minors

  • Slavery, servitude, or coerced labor practices

  • Recruitment practices involving deception, threats, or abuse of power

This prohibition applies to all business activities, regardless of geographic location.

4. Employment Practices

Merrick Synergy, LLC is committed to fair and lawful employment practices, including:

  • Voluntary employment with freely given consent

  • Compliance with all applicable wage, hour, and labor laws

  • Prohibition of recruitment fees charged to workers

  • Respect for workers’ freedom of movement and ability to terminate employment in accordance with law

Identity documents or personal property must never be withheld as a condition of employment.

5. Supply Chain and Third Parties

We expect our suppliers, contractors, and business partners to uphold the same standards described in this policy. Merrick Synergy, LLC does not knowingly engage with third parties that participate in or tolerate human trafficking or modern slavery.

Where appropriate, we may:

  • Conduct due diligence on vendors and partners

  • Require contractual commitments related to ethical labor practices

  • Take corrective action or terminate relationships if violations are identified

6. Reporting Concerns

Employees, contractors, and third parties are encouraged to report any suspected human trafficking, forced labor, or related misconduct connected to Merrick Synergy, LLC’s operations or supply chain.

Reports may be made in good faith and submitted to privacy@merricksynergy.com

Retaliation against anyone who raises concerns in good faith is strictly prohibited.

7. Training and Awareness

Merrick Synergy, LLC promotes awareness of human trafficking risks and provides appropriate guidance to employees and relevant partners to recognize warning signs and understand reporting obligations.

8. Violations and Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment or contracts, and may expose individuals or organizations to civil or criminal liability.
