Job Summary:
We are looking for technical consulting architects for a 6-month project in Austin, TX. This role requires on-site work three days a week and two remote. We cannot consider candidates who are willing to relocate. Applicants must also have US citizenship or a green card.
You will play a crucial role in helping our customer develop event-driven architectures and applications. Expertise with Apache Flink and Kafka Streams, on the Confluent Platform, are must-haves. Hands-on knowledge with Spark, Hadoop, and Storm, as well as relational and NoSQL databases, is also required.
In this role, you will design and develop event-driven architecture and applications, applying best practices. You will also deliver training and enablement to the customer as part of the acceptance process.
Responsibilities:
Assist the customer in defining their transition from legacy architecture and applications to a real-time, event-driven business model
Implement an event-driven infrastructure from the ground up, or modernize existing infrastructure as customer needs dictate
Deliver customer training and enablement on the new infrastructure
Document the new architecture, list reference materials, and develop run books for customer use
Qualifications:
US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Austin, TX resident to work at the customer site three days, remote two days, every week. Normal business hours are expected.
An individual contributor focused on solving challenging technical problems, with a proven track record of working with minimal daily supervision
3+ years of experience with Apache Flink, Kafka Streams, the Confluent platform and/or other stream processing solutions
3+ years of experience using cloud providers (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) for running high-throughput systems
3+ years of experience configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting Red Hat and Debian-based Linux distributions
Ability to design and implement microservice architectures
Ability to adapt quickly to complementary technologies
Nice To Haves:
Proficiency in Java, C, C++, Python, Rust
Experience developing event-driven applications
